About Us
Iowa Land Management and Real Estate Company is located in Vinton, Iowa. From this office we manage our client’s properties which are located primarily in the eastern one half of Iowa. We also are involved more sparsely in western Iowa, southern Minnesota and western Illinois.
The company is owned by David W Wessling. David is a life-long resident of Benton
County. He is a graduate of Iowa State University. He and his wife Kathy reside just
outside of Vinton. David is a member of the Realtors Land Institute.
Although the company name has changed, the personnel have been managing many of the same properties since the early 1970’s from the same building.
Our Philosophy
The company policies and actions are based on the belief that if we take care of our clients, our clients will take care of us. The unique thing about the company is that the owner of the company reports directly to all of the clients. This gives the company a better feel of the client’s goals and objectives as they relate to the farming operation, on a regular basis. This also puts the client’s farm in the hands of someone who has even more to gain from the success of the operation.
Office Administration
The voice of Connie Ogier is the first voice clients hear when contacting the office. Connie has been with the company since the early 1990’s. She is a licensed real estate agent and is the “front line person” in the accounting of all transactions that occur in the farm trust account. She prepares the monthly statements for the client as well as handles all income and expenses authorized by the farm manager. The monthly farm statements are clear and easily understandable. Each client has it’s own distinct bank account.
