David Wessling was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and raised with three brothers on a small farm in southeastern Benton County. He graduated from Benton Community High School and then attended Iowa State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Agriculture while participating in baseball and being a member of Theta Chi fraternity.
After graduation, Mr. Wessling was employed managing Double Circle Cooperatives in Iowa and Illinois before becoming involved in the farm management business in 1983. He is licensed as a Certified General Real Property Appraiser with the state of Iowa, is a Notary Public, holds real estate brokers licenses for the states of Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota, and is a member of the Benton County Board of Realtors.
Mr. Wessling and his wife Kathy have two daughters, Rachelle and Erin.
David’s hobbies include outdoor activities, sports, and travel.
